The benefits of various oils for the skin and human health in general have been known for a long time and are not forgotten until now. So, coconut oil is useful for regulating cholesterol levels or improving digestion, tea tree oil with antibacterial properties perfectly combats various allergic reactions, and burdock oil works just wonders for the hair. Although recently it has become popular to look back at the gifts of nature and your daily skin care, oils often have a stronger effect, which scientists combine with other active ingredients into one effective product.

How does it work

Medium and low fat oils allow the skin to breathe, but protect the skin from moisture evaporation. Their molecular structure is extremely close to the structure of skin cells, so there is no need to be afraid and believe in myths about clogged pores and increased skin oiliness. With the proper use of oils, problems are managed and solved faster.  

How to choose

Many skin care manufacturers use a variety of oils in their products. However, to achieve a stronger effect, it is recommended to have a high concentration of oil as well. You just need to know a few simple rules on how to use it properly and how to choose the right one. Look for pure, unrefined, cold-pressed oils that contain more beneficial ingredients.

The abundance of oils is truly stunning, so when choosing, you should think about your skin type and desired results. The most important thing is to clearly identify what your individual skin needs are (nourishing, moisturizing, soothing, preventing acne, etc.) and then choosing an oil. Various scientific studies have shown that properly selected oils can help restore the natural balance of healthy skin.

Properly selected oil must be well absorbed, moisturizing and nourishing. Specialists divide the oil into three types:

  1. Fatty oils (for example, castor or shea butter). They have a high molecular weight, are difficult to apply, so it is best to mix with other oils.
  2. Semi fat oils (such as almond, avocado oils).
  3. Low fat oils (for example, grape seed oil). 

How to use:

Natural products can strengthen and restore even very sensitive, tired skin. You can also add a drop of oil to your cream, so you will moisturize and nourish your face even more effectively. The most important thing is to mix the product and the oil well so that the combination acquires a solid texture, to distribute the oil evenly.

We can disprove the myth that oils create greasy texture on your skin. Oils help to regulate the secretion of skin oil, which often increases due to excessive dehydration of the skin, as a protective reaction against too frequent washing or unsuitable face wash.

Don’t be scared of experiments – the skin of each of us is different, therefore, there are no universal doses and treatments. But do not overdo it. Just a few drops of a suitable products are usually enough to improve the condition of the skin.

Argan oil is one of the most popular ingredients in the skin and hair care market today. Typically, this oil is composed of (up to 80%) monounsaturated and (up to 20%) saturated fat acids. Argan oil moisturizes and revitalizes the skin, is suitable for treating acne and other infections. The distinctive feature of this oil is its versatility. Unlike other oils that can solve the problems of holders of one skin type, but for those with different skin absolutely unsuitable or even cause trouble, argan oil is suitable for practically all skin types. This is because each oil has its own formula, weight, rate of absorption (for example, coconut oil is extremely heavy, so it is best for dry skin). And an argan oil, with its properties in the golden middle, it’s both suitable for those who have acne and more sebum-secreting pores, and for those who want to easily nourish dehydrated skin.
